NLAC Board is inviting you to join us for the January 2026
virtual lunch meeting on January 23, 2026
Registration closes 1 day prior to the meeting on 01/22/2026.
Speakers: Kevin McCoy, CEBS
In this presentation we will discuss several trends and things that are evolving in the Payroll technology world. Cloud based Payroll solutions have been around for 20+ years now and many clients have realized that moving from one solution to another does not always solve their issues. We have seen a trend of employers “renovating” their existing technology solutions instead of just automatically moving to something new. We will dig into when this approach is the best path vs. doing a vendor selection and moving to something new. AI is everywhere including HR systems. We will review where we think solutions are today, where they are headed and issues to be aware of as AI becomes more prevalent. Finally we will review a few trends in payroll and make recommendations on which ones to follow and why.
